Minutes of Quick Calorimetry Meeting  31-7-98.Present:  HA, KWB, RMB, GD, PSF, BWK, ALL.BWK   Simulation of crack size dependance, put in more points, showed      plots of crack size up to 2mm. 0.5/1 to 0.8/1 - not much difference.      Plot of low energy tail with rising crack size goes up fairly      linearly. Note on Endcap simulation nearly ready.      Note on Barrel/Endcap region simulations coming along.      Next week work to finish these notes.GD    Working with Labview, Adam units work well. Can now read and set      up Struck HT unit but some problems communicating with gaussmeter.ALL   Working on mechanics for stepper motor drive of prototype multi      VPT system. This will hopefully test the system and allow GD to      get some useful data rotating a VPT in the field.      Next week continue mechanical work.PSF   Writing paper for glass conference in September. Attended open      days debrief meeting. Writing up thesis, all headings and       sections are now indexed.      Next week go to see John Parker to discuss this.KWB   Working to solve problems with Opal lead glass system.      Next week back to VPT work.HA    Almost finished report, waiting for MS to return and check it.      Conclusions to write, should be complete next week.RMB   Reported on highlights of the Vancouver conference.      Meeting of Royal Society on 4/9 - Technology foresight, Ken      Peach would like a strong delegation from PPD.
