               Minutes of Quick Calorimetry Meeting  8-5-98.


Present:    HA, RMB, DJAC, PSF, BWK, ALL, MS.


ALL   This week attaching VPT's to crystals with 3145 RTV. May 
      be completed today. Next week assembly of minisupercrystal
      with BJS.


PSF   This week, catching up on glass work.
      Reviewing Paper from Brunel (Shaukat/Hobson) on Physical
      and optical properties of Fluorohafnate glass, will
      contribute on glass manufacture section.
      Next week, work on Thesis - priority.


RMB   This week CMS Management taking up much of the time.
      Report from DCI on high field tests of VPT's at Brunel.
      Some self annealing of VPT's (gain recovery) after damage
      in high field.
      Next week make VPT leakage current measurements with MS.
      Ernst Radermacher (Technical coordinator CMS) to visit RAL
      on Monday, will take to JC and visit test beam.


MS    This week finished off magnet VPT tests. Modified spreadsheets
      for inclusion of BWK's fitted data. Spreadsheets for data
      now up and running.
      Next week VPT leakage current measurements.


BWK   This week working with Haida on fitting VPT runs.
      Developing 5x5 supercrystal Barrel/Endcap simulations.
      Next week CERN for Opal shifts, some time for simulation
      development.


DJAC  This week, preparation for Weds. CMS UK meeting.
      Interaction with minisupercrystal work in R12.
      Agreeing objectives.
      Next week MSC assembly and testing, Helen and Andy coming
      from Bristol to help out.


HA    This week learning with BWK on fitting VPT runs.
      Next week working with MS on VPT measurements.
