Minutes of the meeting

Present - DI, MS, PSF, CAXP, BWK, RMB.

BWK -	Plots added to endcap simulation note.
	Supercrystal simulation (additional subroutine that can create
	supercrystal)
	Also some OPAL work

	Next week, Heavy boson gauge work, involve Charles.

DI  -	Lab is getting tidier, high field system not up and running due to
	broken amp.
	VPTs, have been unable to find certain values for Hamamatsu VPTs
	from literature, E.T. measured Q.E. is higher than quoted value.
	Several question sent to E.T., have not yet had any response.
	Some feedback on tender document
	Write note on current drawn by VPT in CMS.

MS  -	Lifetime measurements.
      Hamamatsu XA0553 and E.T. #27 prepared for irradiation in ISIS.
	Obtained info on LED from manufacturer.
	To confirm data do empirical temperature measurement.
	Then continue lifetime measurements at 100nA.

RMB -	Note on lifetime work.
	PPESP document.
	Feedback interviews.
	Irradiation discussions.
	VPT tender documents proofreading.
	Estimate of expenditure for CMS Cost Book items in 2000.

PSF -	Copyright disclaimer for paper sent off (Non-crystalline Solids)
      Two samples sent to ISIS for irradiation.
	More RTV from Frank at CERN
	Four samples to MRC for irradiation this evening.
	Colouring of RTV disappears when dry, so method of telling when RTV
	fully dry discovered.

CAXP-	Looking at baseline drift on spectrophotometer.
      Preparing for the irradiation (reading background info)
	Samples measured this morning and PC mangled floppy so data lost.
