Minutes of the meeting
		     held on 20th August 1999


Present - DJAC, MS, PSF, CAXP, BWK, ALL.

DJAC-	Analysing 5 x 5 data, VPT performance.
	Data on web (EE homepage)

	Next week at CERN, then two weeks at Summer School, then PSI for
	CMS week.

BWK -	Part of week getting Charles to look at Z' decays.
	Working on CMS note, hadron + gamma simulation in transition region.
	Also some OPAL work

	Next week, finish CMS note.
	Simulation of Brunel irradiation cell.
	plus helping Charles.

MS  -	Lifetime measurements.

CAXP-	Learning how to use PAW.
	Z(zero)-> e-e+ plots as function of rapidity.
	Detects resolution asymmetry.
	Plots of energy as function of rapidity.

ALL -	Problem of measuring VPT leakage current, ISEC do version of their
	HT power supply with much finer current monitoring resolution.
	Not much happening with hardware.
	Control of test beam with LabVIEW and ADAM units.

PSF -	Looking at data from irradiation of samples.
	ISIS irradiation samples should be ready today.
	Plot of drying versus time, shows it took 5 days to completely dry.
	[The results of the gamma irradiation - to first order there was no
	damage, there was some discrepancy between thick and thin samples
	which is not understood at present.]
