ALL  -	All hardware bits for multichannel system, now here, assembly started.
	Leakage current test box being constructed, awaiting relays.

MS   -	Lifetime tests on further RIE VPTs, #57B being tested at present at
	zero field due to magnet cooling water system maintenance.

PRH  -	INTAS problem.
	VPT system still making progress.
	Still testing Schott face-plates.
	Still awaiting resistors and capacitors for irradiation.
	Peter posed the question - should we have a plug put on the end of
	the VPT flying leads to facilitate testing. consensus was YES to some
	form of plug.
	Floating DVM for leakage measurements works fine. (using isolated
	GPIB bus)

DCI  -	No CMS work to report this week.

	** As an aside the questions of barcodes for the VPTs and other
	   parts of the test systems, and the testing of mechanical
	   tolerances were discussed. PRH to discuss barcodes with
	   Helen Heath. First 100 VPTs to be checked extensively
	   mechanically, but general principal is to set up a simple
	   go-nogo test gig. 

OS   -	Finishing old project and getting to grips with LabVIEW and
	understanding the system.

RMB  -	Minutes of the meeting with RIE.
	Reported on the CMS Finance Board meeting, important statement
	that there would be a working detector in 2005 and a complete
	detector in 2006 was given in this meeting.
	Meeting with Justin Greenhalgh to cover Ecal funding.
	Esso Flyckt phoned to try getting confirmation on the rumours he
	had heard concerning the pilot order and to see if it was still
	worth Photonis providing test sample VPTs, yes.
	Crystal Task Force met this morning, Bob by video link. There were
	three scenarios put forward to overcome the problem of funding versus
	delivery rate of crystals, the first two appeared to be not viable
	but the third seemed possible, discussions continue.
	ETH-Zurich are awaiting some info from the manufacturer of preference
	then the contract will be signed. Provisional acceptance will take
	place at CERN so that prompt payment can be made.

JHW  -	More work sort Lab 7, tools/equipment ordered.
	Work on helium test rig.
	Web-site, security problem.
	Started helping ALL assemble the multichannel system mechanics.

PSF  -	Helium test rig, set up system using nitrogen, then switched to pure
	helium, this gave problems very quickly, back to nitrogen and all OK
	so assume external problem on VPT. Now switch to helium/nitrogen
	mix, all working fine now.

BWK  -	Reported on VPT test meeting, note from Dave Cussans - one spare
	five channel card to test and one 5 x 6 channel box by first week
	of June.
	The LED used in the Brunel and the RAL test systems should be the same.
	PC assigned to test beam, now redundant, so upgrade and use for
	database.

CAXP -	LabVIEW high voltage power supply driver, wrote own due to problems
	with the existing and manufacturer supplied ones.
	Other assorted bits and pieces.

DJAC -Test beam at CERN,      infrastructure not materialized,
			 	  help required after 19th June 2000
	Endcap cooling has been evaluated by CERN.
	Safety team from CMS have been to discuss thing with Justin's people.
	*comment from Justin - the team that visited was connected with cooling only,
	*safety visit is planned for sometime in June.
