Quick VPT Test Rig meeting - minutes

Date of meeting: 1 December 2000

Present:

1. Magnet: Problem in water cooling interlock.  This will be replaced with something more modern as soon as possible - the expert is currently tied up with ISIS problems.
2. Electronics: MS/KWB working on noise.  Ringing on VPT signal - improved by changing resistors in the LED lid.  Next will look at stepper motor.  MS has tried OPAL LED driver - cannot drive 8*4 LEDs.  Possible solutions: amplify output of OPAL driver, or build new LED driver.
3. Diffuser plates: components made for 7 plates - just need assembling.  Should be ready early next week.
4. Software: New LabView program can now control magnets, HV, and stepper motor.
