Notes:
Despite the headline, as the Press Release
made clear, the research is being conducted by a collaboration of scientists from Imperial
College, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, and University of Sheffield - the UK Dark
Matter Collaboration (UKDMC). US and other European groups will also participate in
the future programme.
Nothing in the Press Release
nor anything said by any UKDMC Spokesman should be interpreted as implying that any
members of the Collaboration believe that there is any evidence that the anomalous events
observed in NaI are due to WIMP interactions.
