Netscape Superscript/Subscript Bug

There seems to be a bug in Netscape's handling of superscripts () and subscripts (). The following text makes heavy use of superscripts to demonstrate the problem. Four versions of the same text (original, without font size changing commands to improve the appearance, and these two with subscripts rather than superscripts) demonstrate that the problem can occur in all these cases.

The Z0 particle has mass 91.19GeV/c2 (1.626x10-25kg), the W+/W- 80GeV/c2 (1.43-25kg).

The text is sometimes displayed incorrectly if the display width is such that line break occurs just before a word containing a superscript: the part of the word before the superscript is also superscripted. This does not always occur, but by trying slight variations on the display width, it is usually easy to demonstrate the bug.

Bug seen with HP-UX Netscape 2.0beta5 (and before).
