About CfFP

The Centre for Fundamental Physics (CfFP) is a CCLRC-funded initiative, launched in 2004, to foster fundamental physics through a visitors' programme and through the organisation and support of meetings and workshops.

'Fundamental Physics' is interpreted broadly, and spans the huge range of physics covered by CCLRC: from quarks to the cosmos, and just about everything in between.

The visitors' programme seeks to invite leading researchers, both from the UK and overseas, to spend a significant time (from a couple of weeks to a couple of months) at CCLRC, working with CCLRC's own scientists and other visitors. It is our intention to fund such visits in such a way that there are no financial penalties for the visitor or visitor's home institute. (The CfFP may also be able to contribute to the cost of accompanying family members, if appropriate.)
