Tips & Tricks
- Authors are urged to provide alternate methods of accessing files
referenced by the BGSound tag if they are important to the content of
the page (perhaps by using a hyperlink) because of limited support
of the tag.
Browser Peculiarities
- Mosaic does handle this tag, but not the LOOP attribute.
- It is interesting to note that although Internet Explorer is credited
with the creation of this tag, Mosaic also created limited support in a
version the same month Internet Explorer released its first browser
capable of supporting it.
