Tips & Tricks
- More browsers support the SUP tag than support the proposed
named character entity ™ (trademark symbol.) For widest
readability an alternative method of specifiying this character
would be to use
TM.
Browser Peculiarities
- Netscape originally supported the ™ named character
entity in version 1.1 and 1.2, but withdrew support in version 2.0
when it began supporting the SUP tag.
